We’re Back! The 9th Annual Financial Capability Conference

After a pause in 2024, the Financial Capability Conference returns in 2025 to continue our mission of building a brighter financial future for students, families, and communities.

On November 22, 2025 at Rhode Island College, educators, non-profit leaders, government officials, students, and community members will gather for a full day of learning, networking, and resource sharing. The event will be held in Alger Hall from 8AM – 4PM

This year’s conference will feature:

  • Dynamic presentations and workshops designed to expand financial awareness and skills
  • Interactive exhibits and panel discussions tailored to the needs of K–12 students and adult learners
  • Focused sessions on timely topics such as Tariffs and Personal Finance, AI and Personal Finance, and Consumer Protection and Personal Finance
  • Free professional development opportunities for educators, complete with letters of participation from the RI Council for Economic Education
  • Networking with leaders from education, government, non-profits, and industry

Although centered in Rhode Island, the conference welcomes participants from Massachusetts and Connecticut, with presenters and attendees from across southern New England contributing their insights and expertise.

The conference remains FREE to attend, offering valuable insights and resources for teachers, social-service providers, librarians, parents, veterans, and all who are passionate about financial literacy.

Hosted by Rhode Island College and organized by the Rhode Island Council for Economic Education, this event is a unique opportunity to strengthen financial capability across our communities.
